A Vantos needs very little. Here is the little it needs.
Cleaning
Wipe the case and bracelet with a soft dry cloth. For the bracelet, warm water and a drop of mild soap with a soft brush, then dry thoroughly — especially the gold finish, which should not be left wet.
Water
Five atmospheres covers rain, washing hands and swimming. Not showers with hot water, not saunas, not diving. Never pull the crown out while the watch is wet.
Gold finish
The Amethyst is ion-plated: a titanium nitride base with a gold top layer, bonded to the steel. It is far harder than traditional plating but not indestructible — avoid perfumes and lotions directly on the bracelet, and don’t wear it against other jewellery.
Crystal
Sapphire-coated crystal. Resistant to everyday scratches; keep it away from keys and coins in the same pocket.
Battery
Around three years. Any watchmaker can replace it in minutes; ask them to check the case back gasket at the same time.
Service
If anything is wrong, write to us. Under warranty we repair or replace; out of warranty we quote before we touch it.
